Origin Worldwide Corporation uses service providers (all together with Origin Worldwide Corporation “we”, “us”, “our” or “Company”) committed to protecting the privacy of individuals who visit or use the Company’s Website (“you” or “users”). This Privacy Statement describes our privacy practices in relation to access to Company’s Website (as that term is defined in our Terms of Access).

By accessing the Website or by submitting personally identifiable information, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Statement and you expressly consent to the processing of your personally identifiable information and of cookies in accordance with this Privacy Statement.

Company’s Website may also from time to time enable users to use third-party services (referred to as “add-ons”) as part of running Web applications on the Company’s Website. When you share information with these third-party add-on services, the privacy statement of the third party applies. The Website may contain links to other Websites. The information practices or content of such other Websites is governed by the privacy statements of such other Websites.

Company reserves the right to change this Privacy Statement. Company will provide notification of the material changes to this Privacy Statement through the Company’s Website at least thirty (30) business days prior to the change taking effect.

  1. Data collected or that you provide us

When expressing an interest in obtaining additional information through the Website, we may require you to provide us with personal contact information, such as name, address, phone number, and email address. We also collect information about you to provide and improve our services, communicate offers that we believe will interest you, and to administer our business.

We collect personal information from you when you submit that information to us voluntarily. For example, we collect information from you when you:

  • place an order on the Website, for example when ordering that content be downloaded to you or that a newsletter be sent;

We automatically receive and store certain types of information when you interact with the Website, our online advertisements and/or our emails, including without limitation technical information like your device, your operating system, your internet protocol (IP) address, and browser type, your referring Website's address, and your clickstream through the Website.

Some browsers have a 'do not track' feature. These features are not yet uniform, so our Website’s design is still being implemented around this feature and your use of this feature may be inconsistent or ineffective.

Children Under 13 Years of Age

We have directed our Website to adults, being persons 18 years of age and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 without prior parental consent. If you are the parent or guardian of a child under the age of 13, and believe your child has provided personal information to our Website that you would like us to delete, please contact us on the contact email or address provided in our Terms of Access.

Company uses your personal information to enable the requested Website functionalities. For example, if you fill out an online form so that the Company may contact you, Company will use the information provided to contact you about your interest in the Website.

Company may also use personal information for promotional or marketing purposes. For example, Company may use information you provide to contact you to further discuss your interest in the Website and to send you information regarding Company and its partners, such as ads, third-party ads or information about promotions, offers or events.

Company also collects your personal information to administer its business, analytics, aggregation, support, maintenance and help prevent or detect fraud.

Company may share your personal information with the Company’s contracted service providers so that these service providers can provide services on our behalf. These include Hover.com, Shopify, and Shop-A-Free. Unless described in this Privacy Statement, the Company does not share, sell, rent, or trade any information provided with third parties for their promotional purposes.

The Company may share your personal information with other companies in order to work with them, including affiliates. For example, the Company may need to share your personal information for customer relationship management purposes.

From time to time, the Company may partner with other companies to jointly offer products or enable functionalities. If you purchase or specifically express interest in a jointly-offered product or service, the Company may share personal information collected in connection with your purchase or expression of interest with our joint promotion partner(s). Company does not control our business partners’ use of the information we collect, and their use of the information will be in accordance with their own privacy policies. If you do not wish for your information to be shared in this manner, you may opt not to purchase or specifically express interest in a jointly offered product or service.

The Company reserves the right to use or disclose information provided if required by law or if the Company reasonably believes that use or disclosure is necessary to protect the Company’s rights and/or to comply with a judicial proceeding, court order, or legal process.

  1. International transfer of data collected

You agree that the Company’s service providers may store, transfer and access your personal information around the world, including Canada and other countries. This Privacy Statement shall apply even if the Company transfers your personal information to other countries.

The Company offers users who provide contact information a means to choose how the Company uses the information provided. You may manage your receipt of marketing and non-transactional communications by clicking on the “unsubscribe” link located on the bottom of the Company’s marketing emails. Additionally, you may send a request specifying your communications preferences to the email address indicated in Company’s Terms of Access.

The Company retains the information we receive as described in this Privacy Statement above for reasonable duration, for example, as the case may be, for as long as needed to provide the Website, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, establish legal defenses, to conduct audits, pursue legitimate business purposes, and enforce our agreements.

The Company sends cookies to your device in order to uniquely identify your browser and improve the quality of our service. A cookie is a small text file that is stored on a user’s device for record-keeping purposes such as site visitation. The Company may use both session cookies (which expire once you close your browser) and persistent cookies (which stay on your device until you delete them). Persistent cookies can be removed by following your browser help file directions. Should you opt to disable cookies, some areas of the Website may not work properly or at all. The Company enables some of its business partners to use cookies in conjunction with your use of the Website (for example Google Analytics). Company has no control over the use of these cookies. These cookies collect information about the device you use, your use of the Website, such as which website you arrived from, which pages were visited within the Website, and possibly other sites you visit if those sites coordinate with the same third party, but do not collect your name, email address, contact information or other personally identifiable information that by itself would allow the third party to identify or contact you.

    If you would prefer not to accept cookies, you may change your browser settings to notify you when you receive a cookie, so that you may choose whether to accept it or not; or set your browser to automatically not accept any cookies. However, please note that some features and services on our Website may not work properly because we may not be able to recognize and associate you with your account. In addition, the offers we provide when you visit us may not be as relevant to you or tailored to your interests.

    Under California law, website and online service operators are required to disclose how they respond to “do not track” signals. The Company does not currently take actions to respond to Do Not Track signals as a uniform standard for such response has not yet been established.

    1. Tags

    We may use pixel tags or web beacons in our emails to you to determine if your email software can display html-formatted emails, so that we may optimize the size of our emails and conserve bandwidth.

    1. Administrative purposes

    The information we collect may be used for routine administrative purposes, such as investigating abuses on the Website, responding to Visitor inquiries and enforcing and applying our Terms of Access.

    All participants in the Company’s Website have acknowledged using industry standard encryption to encrypt the personal information you provide during the order process.
    To ensure the security of your personal information, you should always provide that information over a secure connection.

    We urge you to protect your own privacy. Do not share your password(s) with anyone.

    While Website participants strive to ensure the integrity and security of our network and systems, there is no guarantee that any security measures are entirely effective against third-party hackers.

    To exercise an opt-out right in connection with the Website, or if you would like to stop receiving promotions, updates and/or offers at any time, you may e-mail us as indicated below with a statement identifying which contact channel you wish to opt-out of. It may take up to 30 days to fully process an opt-out request, and 4-6 weeks for other requests.

In this event, we will notify you before your personal information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.

    If you are a California resident and registered an account on the Website, you have the right to request information once per calendar year regarding the customer information we share with third parties for third parties direct marketing purposes. To request this information, please send an email as indicated below.

    If you are a California resident under 18 years old and registered an account in violation of our Terms of Access, you may still request that we remove content or information that you have posted to our website or other online services. Note we have no control if the content or information has been reposted by another user. To request removal of content or information, please contact us as indicated below.
